INFO

Limited tickets remain for opening night of the 2026 Coors Light Birds Nest as country-music sensation Bailey Zimmerman takes the stage on Wednesday, Feb. 4 — and Coors Light is making opening night even bigger with a Buy one, Get one ticket offer for fans ready to kick off WM Phoenix Open week in style.

Known for his powerful vocals, rapid rise up the charts and dynamic live performances, Zimmerman will launch the four-night concert series with a high-energy country show built for bringing a friend. Special guest Chase Matthew will deliver the pre-show set, setting the tone for a packed night of music and an electric Birds Nest atmosphere.

“Bailey’s first appearance brought an incredible surge of energy to the Coors Light Birds Nest, and we knew right then we would definitely want to bring him back,” said 2026 WM Phoenix Open Tournament Chairman Jason Eisenberg. “Bailey delivers a powerful, crowd-moving performance every time, and this year’s show will kick off tournament week with an unforgettable night of country music.”

General admission tickets for the Wednesday show will start at $125. VIP tickets and elevated experiences are available starting at $350 each and provide exclusive access to an enhanced VIP area where guests are treated to complimentary food and drinks and access to a premium viewing area for the shows.  Organizers encourage fans to buy their tickets early as ticket prices will increase as the event draws closer.

A multi-platinum artist, Zimmerman has quickly become one of country music’s brightest stars, known for his chart-topping hits and unmistakable voice. Launching his career in 2020 by posting original songs on social media, he shot to fame with the viral “Fall in Love,” becoming the fastest debut country artist in over a decade to reach No. 1 on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart.

In 2024, the superstar lit up the stage as the special guest for HARDY’s headlining show, delivering an electric set that left fans humming. The following year, Zimmerman released his debut album Religiously. The Album., which set the record for the biggest streaming debut for a country album in history, and the largest all-genre streaming debut since 2021. Praised by The New York Times as “comfortably bruising and appealingly bruised,” the album includes his fourth consecutive No. 1 single “Where It Ends,” his 4x-Platinum debut “Fall in Love,” and the 5x-Platinum, six-week No. 1 smash “Rock And A Hard Place.” It debuted at No. 3 on the Top Country Albums chart and No. 7 on the Billboard 200, positioning himself as one of the genre’s most impactful new voices.

Currently headlining his Cold Beer & Country Music Tour, Zimmerman is bringing his signature sound to iconic stages nationwide, including two nights at Red Rocks Amphitheatre, and major arena stops in Louisville, Oklahoma City, Charleston, Vancouver, and more.

Rolling out new music like “First” and lining up big moves for the year ahead, Chase Matthew is proving himself as one of country’s boldest new faces. A Nashville native, he first built his career independently, fueled by an infectious country-or-nothing personality, rowdy live shows, and authentic songs anchored by his low-slung vocal twang.

With more than 1 billion global streams, including over 315 million for his RIAA Platinum-certified breakout “County Line”, Matthew has amassed 1.5 million followers across social media, earned “One to Watch” honors from HITS, been named to the Opry NextStage Class of 2024, and landed on MusicRow’s Next Big Thing Class of 2024 list. Since releasing his sophomore album Come Get Your Memory, he’s sold out venues nationwide on his headline COME GET YOUR MEMORY TOUR, hit major festival stages, and recently supported Jason Aldean and Luke Bryan. His Gold-certified debut single “Love You Again” is climbing inside the Top 15 at Country radio, and with his six-song EP We All Grow Up, Matthew is extending his headline run into this year.

WM PHOENIX OPEN NAMED “EVENT OF THE YEAR” IN PGA TOUR’S 2025 “BEST OF” AWARDS

December 10, 2025 by WM Phoenix Open

WM PHOENIX OPEN
NEWS
INFO

The PGA TOUR announced its 2025 “Best Of” award winners today, naming the WM Phoenix Open “Event of the Year” for the sixth time in tournament history.

The PGA TOUR’s “Event of the Year” acknowledges a tournament that excels in every facet of the event, from fan and player experience to charitable impact and title sponsor integration/activation.

“On behalf of the PGA TOUR, congratulations to The Thunderbirds and WM on the WM Phoenix Open being named 2025 PGA TOUR ‘Event of the Year’,” said Tyler Dennis, PGA TOUR Chief Competitions Officer. “The Thunderbirds take great pride in their relentless push for improvement, which was evident in all aspects of this year’s edition. With a dedicated partner in WM, the WM Phoenix Open continues to showcase what makes the event one that must be experienced on the PGA TOUR calendar.”

Ahead of the 2025 edition of “The People’s Open,” The Thunderbirds implemented significant operational changes and enhancements, all under the theme “Better, Not Bigger” while reinforcing attention to detail. Several traditional aspects of the event remained intact, such as no-cost admission on Monday and Tuesday, free parking for the week and incredible local food options, while new enhancements elevated both player and fan experiences, including expanded walkways, redesigned ingress points and reimagined hospitality and “open-to-all” fan areas.

“The WM Phoenix Open has always been about more than just golf — it’s about community, innovation, and the incredible people who make this event possible,” said Matt Mooney, Tournament Chairman for the 2025 WM Phoenix Open. “Earning PGA TOUR ‘Event of the Year’ reflects the hard work and passion of The Thunderbirds, title sponsor WM, and the countless partners, volunteers and fans who pour their energy into this tournament every year. We’re constantly looking for ways to elevate the experience without losing sight of what makes this event special – the accessibility, the energy, and the passion for giving back.”

The WM Phoenix Open also reinforced its leadership in sustainability, maintaining its status as one of the world’s largest certified zero-waste sporting events, with tournament materials diverted from landfills through recycling, composting, donation, reuse and using materials to recover energy and create fuel.  Additionally, in 2025 the WM Phoenix Open Working For Tomorrow FundSM generated more than $420,000 for greenhouse gas emissions reduction, sustainable materials management and water management projects in Arizona.

“The WM Phoenix Open is not only a world-class golf tournament – it’s also a showcase of how focusing on sustainability and community can create a lasting impact,” said Mike Watson, WM Senior Vice President and Chief Customer Officer. “Together with The Thunderbirds and the PGA TOUR, we’ve advanced innovative solutions that make this certified zero-waste event possible while delivering meaningful results for the environment and the Arizona community.”

The Thunderbirds and WM work year-round in planning and executing the WM Phoenix Open. Since the tournament moved to TPC Scottsdale in 1987, the WM Phoenix Open has never been a simple “rinse-and-repeat” event. The Thunderbirds challenge themselves each year to bring new and exciting initiatives to “The People’s Open.”

The 2026 WM Phoenix Open returns to TPC Scottsdale February 2–8, bringing back “The People’s Open” for its 91st edition. Now recognized six times as the PGA TOUR’s Event of the Year, the WM Phoenix Open is celebrated as one of golf’s most iconic and fan-friendly events. In 2025, Thomas Detry made history in the desert, capturing his first career PGA TOUR win and becoming the first Belgian champion on the PGA TOUR.

“This lineup is loaded with incredible talent across the board,” said 2026 WM Phoenix Open Tournament Chairman Jason Eisenberg. “Nelly makes his highly anticipated return to the Birds Nest alongside Ludacris – both living legends who need no introduction. This show is going to be one for the books, with both co-headliners bringing out all the anthems.”

Headliners for all four nights are now set and feature some of the biggest stars in today’s music.  Bailey Zimmerman with Special Guest Chase Matthew will open the concert series on Wednesday (Feb. 4), Zach Top with ERNEST take the stage on Thursday (Feb. 5), and John Summit and BUNT. close things out with an EDM-themed finale on Saturday, Feb. 7.

For 24 years, Nelly has been connecting generations with his exuberant anthems, fusing musical genres, and engaging in multiple entertainment mediums including music, television, and film. The diamond selling, multi-platinum, 3x Grammy award-winning rap superstar, entrepreneur, philanthropist, and actor, Nelly, has continuously raised the bar for the entertainment industry since stepping on the scene in 2000 with his distinctive vocals and larger-than-life personality.

Nelly strives to be a trailblazer and to be the first to make his mark in every category such as being the first hip hop artist to blur the musical genres of Hip Hop and Country with the chart-topping hit Over and Over with Tim McGraw. He was also the first HipHop artist to accompany the most prestigious orchestras including St. Louis, Columbus and Pittsburgh, again blending musical styles and garnering great reviews. For over two decades, Nelly has bridged generations with his signature sound, genre-bending collaborations, and magnetic stage presence. The diamond-selling, multi-platinum, three-time GRAMMY Award-winning rapper, entrepreneur, and actor has been a defining force in music and entertainment since his 2000 debut.

Nelly burst onto the scene with Country Grammar and Nellyville, producing timeless hits like “Hot in Herre,” “Ride Wit Me,” and “Dilemma.” A true trailblazer, he became the first hip-hop artist to blur the lines between rap and country with “Over and Over” featuring Tim McGraw and later struck crossover gold again with Florida Georgia Line on “Lil Bit” and “Cruise.”

With multiple Diamond certifications, billions of streams, and collaborations with icons like Taylor Swift, Janet Jackson, Justin Timberlake, and Kelly Rowland, Nelly continues to redefine versatility and longevity in modern music.

The career of the multitalented Chris “Ludacris” Bridges can best be described as remarkable. As a recording artist, he has sold more than 24 million albums worldwide, thanks to the blockbuster success of such singles as “Stand Up,” “Get Back,” “Southern Hospitality,” “Number One Spot,” “Money Maker,” and “My Chick Bad.” All these records were accompanied by ingenious videos that demonstrated Bridges’ far-reaching imagination and his willingness to stretch the boundaries of what rap videos should look and feel like.

With an unrivaled match of lyrical acumen, wit, and imagery, Ludacris has solidified himself as one of music’s premier entertainers. This October marks the 25th anniversary of Ludacris’ groundbreaking debut album Back for the First Time — a milestone that not only celebrates his legacy but also sets the stage for what’s next. To commemorate this incredible achievement, Ludacris recently delivered an epic, legendary performance at One Music Fest, where he brought out a star-studded lineup including Usher, LL Cool J, Fergie, Chingy, Shawna, Bobby V, Jadakiss, Jeezy, and I-20. In honor of this major career milestone, he is also planning a new anniversary tour that will reconnect fans with the music, energy, and creativity that have defined his journey from day one.

Ja Rule is an award-winning rapper, actor and entrepreneur. Born and raised in New York City, Ja Rule is an icon in the music industry. He is regarded as one of the most successful rappers of all time with multiple hits that made the top 20 of the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart, including the number 1 hit “Always on Time, “featuring Ashanti. During his time making music, he was a songwriter for today’s top artists including Mariah Carey, Mary J. Blige, Jennifer Lopez, and Fat Joe, among many other legendary singers.
