The Thunderbirds Extend Free Admission Offer to all First Responders, Military Members and Veterans to 2020 Waste Management Phoenix Open

The Thunderbirds are once again inviting all First Responders as well as Active, Reserve and Retired Military personnel and one accompanying individual to be their guests (FREE OF CHARGE) at the 2020 Waste Management Phoenix Open. This is the 19th year that the tournament host Thunderbirds have extended this free invitation as a small gesture of thanks for all these heroes do for our country.

To take advantage of the free ticket offer, First Responders and Active, Reserve and Retired Military must first go to https://birdiesforthebrave2.sheerid.com/WMPhoenixOpen-2020/ to register through the Sheer ID verification program. Eligible personnel must present their official military ID or badge at any ticket booth at the main tournament entrance. Tickets are limited to two per day, per each official department ID. Standard tournament spectator policies will be in enforced, including no firearms allowed. Business cards and pay stubs will not be accepted as forms of ID. Additionally, the Birdies for the Brave Patriots’ Outpost will be open Wednesday through Sunday during tournament week and available to all active duty, reserve, and retired U.S. military from all five branches of the Armed Forces. Located in a prime spot near the 18th tee, Patriots’ Outpost is a great venue where military personnel (+ two guests) can enjoy great food and drinks (complimentary) and watch PGA TOUR golf action in a relaxed and comfortable setting.

In order for all of our military heroes to get the chance to experience the Birdies for the Brave Patriots Outpost, official military ID’s will be required to gain access, and the two-guest maximum guideline will be strictly enforced to help keep the crowds and wait times down.

The 2020 Waste Management Phoenix Open will be held at TPC Scottsdale January 27 – February 2, 2020. “The People’s Open” was recently  named the Tournament of the Year by the PGA TOUR for 2019, an honor that has been awarded four times in the last six years (2014, 2015, 2018, 2019) to help the tournament gain legendary status for being one the most unique events in golf. The 2020 edition will mark the 85th playing of the event (one of the five oldest events on the PGA TOUR) and the 11th as the Waste Management Phoenix Open.
