THE THUNDERBIRDS CO-HOST NCAA DIVISION 1 MEN’S AND WOMEN’S GOLF CHAMPIONSHIPS AT GRAYHAWK GOLF CLUB

The 2023 NCAA DI Men’s and Women’s Golf Championships are set to take place May 19-31, with The Thunderbirds serving alongside ASU since 2021 as co-hosts at Scottsdale’s Grayhawk Golf Club.

“It has been The Thunderbirds honor to co-host the NCAA Golf Championships with Arizona State University over the last two years,” said Thunderbirds Big Chief Michael Golding.  “I’d like to welcome each and every one of the athletes to the third and final year of this tournament, wish all of them the best of luck, and thank Grayhawk Golf Club, the NCAA and Arizona State University for making this exceptional event happen over the past two years. We’re all looking forward to some great golf.”

Both championships start with three days of stroke play, Friday through Sunday (54 holes). The top 15 teams and nine individuals (not already on an advancing team) move on to a final 18 holes of stroke play (Monday) to determine the top eight teams advancing to match play as well as the 72-hole individual champion. The team championship is determined through match-play, with quarterfinals and semifinals on Tuesday, followed by the finals on Wednesday.

Both the women’s and men’s championships are open to the public

The women’s championship will take place May 19-24. The men’s championship will take place May 26-31. And you can catch all the action LIVE on NBC Golf.
