The Sights and Sounds of the Annexus Pro-Am and Phoenix Suns Charities Shot at Glory
Some of the biggest names in sports and entertainment packed Wednesday’s star-studded Annexus Pro-Am to tee it up with the best PGA TOUR players in the world at the 2019 Waste Management Phoenix Open. The combined group of PGA TOUR professionals Zach Johnson and Kyle Stanley ran away with the title, winning by three shots with a 17-under 54.

Thousands of golf fanatics and partygoers flocked to the famed 16th hole after the pro-am to watch the Phoenix Suns Charities Shot at Glory, a closest-to-the-pin contest for a chance at $1 million for charity. Fans in the stands were treated to the sight of a fighter jet flyover, the Solar Squad – the Phoenix Suns Dancers – and the freestyling sounds of Kelley James on the mic. Chicago Cubs first baseman Anthony Rizzo took top honors with a tee shot landing 13 feet from the hole. Jim Crane, Houston Astros owner and proprietor of a silky-smooth golf swing, came in second at 15 feet 11 inches and Adam Pritchett of Pacific Office Automation came in third place with a tee shot coming to rest just under 17 feet from the hole.
Get ready golf fans – Thursday’s first round kicks off tomorrow morning at 7:20 a.m. with the afternoon groupings starting at 11:35 a.m.
