PGA TOUR player commitments continue to come in for the 89th edition of “The People’s Open” as World No. 6 and Olympic Gold Medalist Xander Schauffele, World No. 21 Sam Burns, and 2022 PGA TOUR Rookie of the Year Cameron Young are the latest to commit to the 2024 WM Phoenix Open presented by Taylor Morrison set to tee it up at “The People’s Open” February 5-11 at TPC Scottsdale.
“We’re thrilled to not only add three incredible players to the 2024 WM Phoenix Open field, but also three amazing ambassadors of the game of golf,” said 2024 WM Phoenix Open Tournament Chairman George Thimsen. “All three of these guys have had tremendous success at each part of their career and we can’t wait to see them compete at ‘The People’s Open’ this February.”
Schauffele continued his already impressive career with a strong 2023 season which ultimately led to a runner-up finish at the TOUR Championship and the season long FedExCup Standings, good enough for 10th place on the PGA TOUR money list ($8,459,066). During his four-year career, he has five total PGA TOUR victories including a title defense of his 2021 Valspar Championship victory.
