MONDAY RECAP AT THE 2023 WM PHOENIX OPEN

Day one of the 2023 WM Phoenix Open was an absolute blast. Monday’s Carlisle Pro-Am featured a host of PGA TOUR professionals getting in their practice rounds and played host to community leaders and VIPs during a sunny Monday afternoon. With three groups at the top, the winning group was decided by tiebreaker. Anna Nordqvist’s group took top honors at 14-under par with Grant Booth’s group and John Cook’s group finishing in second and third respectively. Three more groups – Harris English, JB Holmes, and Nick Mason- all finished at 13-under par and three additional groups entered the clubhouse 12-under par – Willie Wood, Jerry Kelly, and Drew Shepherd.

Tuesday at “The People’s Open” brings just as much fun– with free admission again thanks to Ford Free Days courtesy of your Arizona Ford Dealers – including the R.S. Hoyt Jr. Family Foundation Dream Day presented by PING beginning at 10 a.m. on the TPC Champions Course practice range. Fans and kids on hand for Dream Day can join in on the excitement and see a trick-shot golf show by Dan Boever, sit in on a motivational talk/Q&A with World No. 3 Jon Rahm and NFL legend Larry Fitzgerald Jr., learn the game at the junior golf clinic presented by PING and take part in fun games and prizes.

Tuesday also features the San Tan Ford Special Olympics Putting Challenge where Special Olympians, celebrities, sports stars, and business leaders from the Valley take part in a friendly putting competition. The event begins at 11 a.m. on TPC Scottsdale’s Stadium Course putting green. The event is open to the public – and more often than not – fans in attendance can see a few familiar faces and PGA TOUR professionals show up to support our amazing athletes.
