WM Phoenix Open Unveils 16th Hole Logo

The Waste Management Phoenix Open has unveiled a logo for their signature 16th stadium-hole. The three-level stadium features skyboxes, suites, and general admission bleacher seats. Snagging one of the general admission seats can be a tough task which usually means getting there extremely early and running fast or waiting in a lengthy line outside of the stadium.

Andrew Magee – Back on 17 at WM Phoenix Open

Back before new metals and space-age polymers turned golf clubs into launch pads for pin-seeking missiles, the par-4 17th hole of TPC Scottsdale was well-protected from eagle-bound tee shots. At 332 yards, players would need a miracle off the tee to reach the green in one during tournament play at the Waste Management Phoenix Open.

Mayor Stanton, The Thunderbirds & PGA TOUR WivesAssociation Address Childhood Hunger As Part Of “Blessings In A Backpack Day” At Nevitt Elementary

Phoenix Mayor Greg Stanton today joined The Thunderbirds, hosts of the Waste Management Phoenix Open and the PGA TOUR Wives Association to pack bags full of food for students at Nevitt Elementary School as part of the fourth annual “Blessings in a Backpack Day” – a nationwide effort to combat childhood hunger that was declared by the United States Conference of Mayors.

Thunderbirds Charity Spotlight – Phoenix Art Museum Teen Engagement Initiative

There have been a number of changes at the Phoenix Art Museum under the leadership of Amanda Cruz and her team, starting with the Teen Engagement Initiative, a program that offers a community alternative  for safe programming for teenagers and a place to hang out and express themselves.  Thunderbirds Charities has been instrumental in this program from the beginning, and are proud to see all of the great things happening at the Phoenix Art Museum.
