For 8 consecutive years, the WM Phoenix Open has been recognized as the largest zero waste sporting event in the world! In partnership with the Thunderbirds, tournament vendors and the PGA TOUR, WM leads operational efforts to divert 100% of waste from the landfill through recycling, composting, donation and energy conversion.
The cornerstone of WM’s operational achievements begins and ends with Recycling Right, WM’s very own Recycling Education platform. To learn more about Recycling Right and how WM operates the largest zero waste event in the world, please visit: https://www.wm.com/us/en/inside-wm/phoenix-open
Our sustainability efforts are instilled within the DNA of our tournament operations. Throughout the year, WM’s Sustainability Services team works together with the Thunderbirds and the Tournament Operations team to assure that the tournament generates an effective and powerful environmental impact
