MONDAY AT THE 2025 WM PHOENIX OPEN
It’s official. The People’s Open is back, and we’re officially underway at the 90th edition of the WM Phoenix Open. Monday brought the Carlisle Pro-Am featuring PGA TOUR professionals fine-tuning their game in practice rounds alongside community leaders and VIPs. Nobody could ask for better conditions, with course grounds basking in a comfortable 80-degree high under Arizona’s mild winter skies.
The top-2 finishers in the Carlisle Pro-Am finished tied at 17-under. Patrick Fishburn’s group broke the tie taking top honors over Chris Gotterup’s group. Vincent Norman’s group finished third at 15-under par.
Three players were added to the 2025 WM Phoenix Open field after the Monday qualifier at Pinnacle Peak Country Club. Steven Fisk (-9), Max McGreevy (-7) and Will Chandler (-7)took the remaining three spots to round out a world-class field at “The People’s Open.”
The early week festivities will continue on Tuesday with a series of special events in addition to PGA TOUR professionals teeing it up as practice rounds roll on. All Tuesday admissions will once again be FREE thanks to Ford Free Days.
The first event will be the R.S. Hoyt Jr. Family Foundation Dream Day presented by PING beginning at 10 a.m. on the TPC Champions Course practice range. Hundreds of local elementary school students will be in attendance for Dream Day, a day of fun, learning, and unforgettable experiences with professional athletes and golf stars. Students and fans alike can join in on the fun, see a trick-shot golf show, learn the game at a junior golf clinic presented by PING and take part in fun games while winning prizes.
Students will have a front-row seat to a series of speeches and advice from PGA TOUR professional and Arizona native Chez Reavie as well as Arizona sports heroes Larry Fitzgerald, Zac Gallen, Merill Kelly and Christian Kirk. The event will conclude with the now-famous Dream Day Selfie tradition, where students take a massive group selfie with their sports heroes.
Tuesday also brings the San Tan Ford Special Olympics Putting Challenge where Special Olympic Athletes, celebrities, sports stars, and business leaders from the Valley take part in a friendly putting competition. The event begins at 11 a.m. on TPC Scottsdale’s Stadium Course putting green. The event is open to the public, and more often than not, fans in attendance can see a few familiar faces and PGA TOUR professionals show up to support our amazing athletes.
The 90th anniversary of “The People’s Open” is officially underway, and we’re excited to welcome everyone back to TPC Scottsdale!
