Tournament Chairman Jason Eisenberg announced today that Major Champions Matt Fitzpatrick (World No. 23) and Brian Harman (World No. 41) have committed to compete in the 2026 WM Phoenix Open, scheduled for February 2–8 at TPC Scottsdale. With their commitments, the field for the 91st edition of “The People’s Open” continues to take shape with world-class talent and major championship pedigree.
MAJOR CHAMPIONS MATT FITZPATRICK AND BRIAN HARMAN COMMIT TO PLAY IN 2026 WM PHOENIX OPEN
Fitzpatrick owns two PGA TOUR victories including the 2022 U.S. Open at The Country Club in Brookline to secure his first Major Championship victory. During the 2025 season, he notched five Top-10s in 21 starts on his way to finish No. 34 in the FedExCup standings, continuing a stretch of consistent performance on the PGA TOUR. In addition to his PGA TOUR victories, Fitzpatrick has five international wins, and has represented Europe in Ryder Cup competition four times (2016, 2021, 2023, 2025). He returns to the WM Phoenix Open in 2026 for his fifth career start at TPC Scottsdale, where his best finish came in 2022 (T10).
A major champion highlighted by his victory at the 2023 Open Championship at Royal Liverpool, Harman added to his PGA TOUR résumé in 2025 with a win at the Valero Texas Open, the fourth of his career. He went on to finish No. 18 in the FedExCup standings, underscoring another strong season on TOUR. A consistent presence at the highest level for more than a decade, Harman will make his 13th career start at the WM Phoenix Open in 2026, with his best finish at TPC Scottsdale coming in 2022 (T14).
