Tournament Chairman Jason Eisenberg announced today that PGA TOUR winners Sahith Theegala and Joel Dahmen, along with WM ambassador and 26-year PGA TOUR veteran Charley Hoffman, will receive sponsor exemptions for the 2026 WM Phoenix Open, scheduled for February 2–8 at TPC Scottsdale.

“The WM Phoenix Open is built on elite competition, personality, and energy, and this group embodies all three,” Eisenberg said. “Sahith’s history at this tournament speaks for itself, Joel is one of the TOUR’s most popular and authentic competitors, and Charley’s long-standing connection to both WM and this event makes this a special group to welcome back to TPC Scottsdale.”

Theegala became an instant fan favorite after making the most of a sponsor exemption at the 2022 WM Phoenix Open, where he finished runner-up in a dramatic playoff. The Pepperdine University alum earned his first PGA TOUR victory at the 2023 Fortinet Championship and followed it with a strong 2024 campaign that included two runner-up finishes, nine Top-10s, and 12 Top-25 results. A three-time NCAA All-American, Theegala captured both the Haskins Award and Ben Hogan Award in 2020 as the nation’s top collegiate golfer. Already off to a solid start in the 2026 season, he has made two cuts, including a Top-10 finish at The American Express. Theegala will make his fifth appearance at “The People’s Open.”

Dahmen is one of the PGA TOUR’s most recognizable personalities and the winner of the 2021 Corales Puntacana Resort & Club Championship. A University of Washington alum, he has posted multiple Top-10 finishes throughout his career and is known for his authenticity and connection with fans. To open the 2026 season, Dahmen made the cut at The American Express and continues to compete on TOUR. He will make his eighth appearance at the WM Phoenix Open, where his style of play and personality have made him a natural fit for the event’s atmosphere.

Since turning professional in 2000, San Diego native Charley Hoffman has recorded four PGA TOUR victories, including wins at the 2007 Bob Hope Chrysler Classic, 2010 Deutsche Bank Championship, 2014 OHL Classic at Mayakoba, and 2016 Valero Texas Open. Hoffman was a member of the 2017 U.S. Presidents Cup team and posted two Top-10 finishes during the 2025 season, highlighted by a T5 at The American Express at PGA West. A fixture at TPC Scottsdale, Hoffman will make his 20th career start at “The People’s Open,” where his best finish came in 2024 as runner-up to Nick Taylor.

The 2026 WM Phoenix Open returns to TPC Scottsdale February 2–8 for the 91st edition of “The People’s Open.” One of the five oldest events on the PGA TOUR, the WM Phoenix Open has been recognized six times as the PGA TOUR’s Event of the Year and is celebrated as one of the most iconic and fan-friendly tournaments in professional golf.
