Bradley, Cabrera, English And Kaymer Commit To 2014 Waste Management Phoenix Open

2011 PGA Championship winner Keegan Bradley, 2007 US Open and 2009 Masters champion Angel Cabrera, two-time PGA TOUR winner Harris English and 2010 PGA Championship winner Martin Kaymer are among the latest commitments to the 2014 Waste Management Phoenix Open – to be played the week of January 27 – February 2 at TPC Scottsdale. A field of 132 players will vie for the $6.2 million purse, the $1,116,000 first-place check and 500 FedExCup points.

Brandt Snedeker (#13 in the world), Keegan Bradley (22), Hideki Matsuyama (23), Lee Westwood (26), Bubba Watson (28), Nick Watney (30), Ryan Moore (32), Hunter Mahan (33), Gonzalo Fernandez-Castano (35), Kevin Streelman (36), Graham DeLaet (37), Martin Kaymer (41), Rickie Fowler (43), David Lynn (45), Jimmy Walker (47) and Harris English (48) are the top ranked golfers to commit to date.

In addition, three-time tournament champion Mark Calcavecchia (1989, 1992 and 2001), two-time tournament champion Vijay Singh (1995, 2003), Kenny Perry (2009) and Kyle Stanley (2012) also committed, meaning the field now includes seven past champions – Mark Wilson (2011), Hunter Mahan (2010) and J.B. Holmes (2006 & 2008) are also in the field. Calcavecchia, playing under the TOUR’s Career Money Exemption, will be competing in his 27th Phoenix Open tournament and will look to become the first player in tournament history to record victories in four different decades.

PGA TOUR members have until 5 p.m. on Friday, January 24, to commit to play in the Waste Management Phoenix Open. Eligible players are assigned one of 34 PGA TOUR priority ranking categories based on their past performance on TOUR. The field will continue to change as players with higher priority rankings commit to play in the Open.

The 2014 Waste Management Phoenix Open, known as “The Greatest and Greenest Show on Grass,” will be held at the TPC Scottsdale from January 27 to February 2, 2014. The Waste Management Phoenix Open is the best-attended golf tournament in the world and has gained legendary status for being the most unique stop on the PGA TOUR. The 2014 edition will mark the 79th playing of the event (one of the five oldest events on the PGA TOUR) and the fifth as the Waste Management Phoenix Open.
